Solving Solvent Lines

One of the first mistakes you might make when beginning to perform an HPLC analysis is misplacing the solvent lines - one of the earliest investigations I was responsible for was misplacing Line A with Line B (producing some very... unexpected chromatography).
Recently in my lab, we've been having an issue with the lines themselves being labeled at all - if you're familiar with Agilent's Infinity II series, you might be able to understand why:

We tried some easier alternatives - but they leave a lot to be desired:
P-Touch or Tape labels
Can't be adjusted for mobile phase bottle size/depth
Leave sticky residue that could leach into mobile phase
Eventually fade or tear off
Can't be turned for easier reading during setup

So, I came up with a new solution - our solvent line labels!
Designed to be stationary, so they don't move on you, yet easy to adjust to where they can be seen.

They also have infill using wax to prevent fading - making them easy to read at a glance, and prevent your analysts from generating the same confusing investigation that I had!
